Biggest Morning Tea with Caboolture seniors at Tall Trees

Aged care provider Tall Trees Caboolture are hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event at their neighbourhood on the 31 May open for seniors in the local community to attend.

The event will be a High Tea morning tea to raise funds for cancer research beginning at 10am for residents, their families, staff and members of the wider community who wish to join them.

Tall Trees lifestyle coordinator Kerri Stockham says she invited local community and senior groups along to the event to enhance the atmosphere of the special event.

“We’ve invited other aged care groups and care volunteers in to join us for morning tea in the hope that we can raise much-needed funds for the cancer council,” Kerri says.

“We often hold events for the residents and their families to enjoy, but extending our invitation out to the wider community is a great opportunity for them to meet new people and share stories with one another.

“Our residents are looking forward to Thursday’s high tea for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and cannot wait to see how much we can contribute to the cause.

“We have set a goal for the neighbourhood to raise $200, however we hope to raise even more with the kind support of our community.”

Those who are unable to attend the morning tea on the day are able to contribute to the fundraising online by making a tax-deductible donation at http://qld.cancercouncilfundraising.org.au/TallTreesmorningtea
